Cookeville's free outdoor Shakespeare tradition returns for its 22nd season. Performances begin at 7 PM on October 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, and 10. The October 10 finale also includes an all-day festival with themed vendors. Bring chairs, blankets, or a picnic.

Upper Cumberland Haunted Half Marathon
WCTE's 19th annual Halloween-themed race starts at 7 AM on the Tennessee Tech campus, with a half marathon, 3-person relay, and 5K. Costumes are encouraged. Registered runners can get a discounted ticket to Blues & Brews later that afternoon.

WCTE Blues & Brews Craft Beer Festival
The annual Blues & Brews festival at Trackside on the West Side brings together 80+ craft beers from local and regional breweries alongside live blues music and local food vendors - all benefiting WCTE PBS, the Upper Cumberland's public television station. One of the best fall events on Cookeville's calendar.

Cooking on the Square
The last Friday in October turns the courthouse square into a Cajun lunch, with teams serving gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans and rice. Tickets include a handmade ceramic bowl and an all-you-can-eat lunch, with proceeds supporting Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity. Hours are 11 AM to 1 PM.
