The Cookeville History Museum presents a rotating exhibit about Rosenwald schools from September 28 through November 20. Visit free during regular museum hours, Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Shakespeare in the Park: All's Well That Ends Well
Cookeville's free outdoor Shakespeare tradition returns for its 22nd season. Performances begin at 7 PM on October 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, and 10. The October 10 finale also includes an all-day festival with themed vendors. Bring chairs, blankets, or a picnic.

Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series
Enjoy free live music at the Cookeville Depot Museum from 11:30 AM to 1 PM on October 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30. Admission is free, with an optional $10 lunch available onsite and drinks for $1.

Downtown History Hike
Explore downtown Cookeville's history with a guided "hike" between the Cookeville Depot Museum and the Cookeville History Museum on Broad Street. The season's final hike, held the second Saturday of the month from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Free and open to all ages.

Liberty Square: A Lester Flatt Celebration
Sparta honors its bluegrass heritage with a free full day of national, international, and regional bluegrass artists performing downtown. More than 100 food and craft booths surround the main stage in front of the historic Oldham Theater.

The Upper Cumberland's long-running German-American festival returns for two days of food, music, and community celebration. The festival runs from 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM Friday and Saturday at the Knights of Columbus grounds east of downtown Crossville.

Upper Cumberland Haunted Half Marathon
WCTE's 19th annual Halloween-themed race starts at 7 AM on the Tennessee Tech campus, with a half marathon, 3-person relay, and 5K. Costumes are encouraged. Registered runners can get a discounted ticket to Blues & Brews later that afternoon.
