Tennessee Tech became a Southern Conference member on July 1, 2026. The university fields 16 NCAA Division I teams, including 14 in sports sponsored by the SoCon. Football returns to Tucker Stadium for the Aug. 29, 2026 home opener, when the rebuilt West Side makes its gameday debut; basketball plays at Hooper Eblen Center, and baseball at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex.
