Mauricio's Italian Restaurant is at 232 N Peachtree Ave, on the west side near Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The Hip Cookeville listing says it opened May 15, 2002. The restaurant site says the building was a residence built in 1910, with hardwood floors, 12-foot ceilings, five dining rooms, three of them with fireplaces, and a patio that seats 25. The site and the menu PDF do not name the current owner.

The 2024 menu lists appetizers including calamari, fried ravioli, and caprese, and pastas including lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, pesto, lobster ravioli, and seafood Mauricio, plus filet, blackened salmon, Tuscan ribeye, and lamb chops. Lunch is served 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with sandwiches such as meatball and chicken Milanese. The menu says gluten-free pasta is available on request. The homepage says the dinner menu is available at lunch in petite portions, that the restaurant hosts weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, and parties, and that it offers spirits and more than 20 wines, more than half of them Old World wines from Italy. Reservations are required for dinner and recommended for lunch.
